Closing soonest

Competitions closing today

Entries close at 8pm UK time on a competition's closing date, and the draw is made at 9pm the same evening. The list below is ordered by what closes soonest, taken from the live board. Every draw goes ahead on its date whether or not it sells out, and every one can be entered free by post on the same odds. 18+, Great Britain.

Paid entry opens 30 October 2026. Until then the free draw below is open and everything else is listed with the date it opens.

How entering before the deadline works

Pick your tickets, answer the competition's skill question correctly, and pay. Your entry exists once payment is confirmed and your ticket numbers are allocated, which happens immediately. Tickets sitting in a basket are not entries.

Tickets start at 9p each, sold in minimum orders of 25, so the smallest order on that draw is £2.25. There are no fees added at checkout and the price you see is the price you pay.

Entering free, before the post closes

No purchase is ever necessary. Every competition takes a free postal entry that receives the same number of entries and exactly the same chance of winning as a paid ticket. The only thing to watch on a closing day is the post: an entry has to arrive before entries close, and proof of posting is not proof of receipt.

If a deadline is close, the honest advice is that the postal route needs a few days. The free entry route sets out exactly what to write and where to send it.

Why the time matters and the order does not

Entries stop at 8pm and the draw runs at 9pm. Between those two the entry list is locked and published: every ticket number with the first name and county of the person holding it, so anyone can audit the draw and not just the people in it.

When you entered makes no difference to your chance. Every qualifying ticket is equal, and the winning number is produced by a method committed to before entries closed. How our draws work explains it, and verify a draw lets you recompute a real one yourself.

Common questions

What competitions are closing today?

The list on this page is the answer, and it is built from the live board with the soonest closing date first. Every Grand Draws draw shows its exact closing time, and entries stop at that moment whether or not every ticket has sold.

What time do competitions close?

Entries close at 8pm UK time on the published closing date, and the draw is made at 9pm the same evening. The closing time is shown on every competition page before you enter.

Can I still enter on the closing day?

Yes, right up until entries close at 8pm. There is no advantage to entering early or late: every qualifying ticket has exactly the same chance, whenever it was bought.

Is there a competition I can enter today for free?

Every competition can be entered free by post, with the same odds as a paid ticket, so there is always a free route open. Postal entries must arrive before the closing date, so allow time for delivery. There is also a free-to-enter draw on the board right now.

How do I know the draw is fair?

Before entries close we publish a cryptographic commitment and name a future round of a public randomness beacon that nobody can predict. After the draw we reveal the seed, and anyone can recompute the winning ticket themselves at our draw checker.
