Good to know

Is this gambling?
No. These are skill-based prize competitions with a free postal entry route, which places them outside UK gambling law. You answer a skill question to enter and no gambling licence is required.
How much does it cost?
Many competitions start under £1 (currently from £0.19). You can also enter any competition free by post.
What happens if a competition doesn’t reach its minimum?
Every competition needs a minimum number of entries before its draw goes ahead: half its ticket allocation, with the exact figure shown on the competition page. If it reaches that by the closing date, it is drawn automatically at 9pm; if not, the prize rolls over to the next draw rather than being drawn on a tiny number of entries.
How are winners chosen?
Winners are drawn using an independent public source of randomness, and every draw can be checked by anyone on our verify a draw page. We can not influence the result and neither can you.
Do I pay tax on my winnings?
No. Prize competition winnings are not taxed in the UK, so the amount you win is the amount that lands in your bank account.
Who can enter?
Anyone aged 18 or over who lives in the UK. We verify age and identity before any prize is paid out.
How does free postal entry work?
Post us your details and the competition name following the steps on our free entry route page. Postal entries go into the same draw with exactly the same odds as paid tickets.
