# Responsible play

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Entering competitions should always be fun and affordable. Our competitions are skill-based prize competitions rather than gambling products, but we still want everyone to enter sensibly and within their means.

## Our commitments

- You must be 18 or over to enter.
- Every competition has a maximum number of entries per person, so no one can spend without limit.
- There is always a free postal entry route with the same chance of winning.
- We never use pressure tactics or imply that entering will solve financial problems.

## Tips for staying in control

- Set yourself a budget before you enter, and stick to it.
- Only spend what you can comfortably afford to lose.
- Never chase a result or enter to try to win money back.
- Take a break if it stops being fun.

## Set a limit or take a break

Your [account](https://granddraws.co.uk/account) has a **Play safely** panel with two choices you make yourself: a personal monthly spend limit, and self-exclusion. Paid entry has not opened yet, so for now each choice is saved in the browser you set it in and we hold no copy of it. Both become account-enforced before paid entries open.

To have a limit or a break recorded by us, so that it holds whatever device you use, email [hello@granddraws.co.uk](mailto:hello@granddraws.co.uk). Tell us the period you want and we will close entry for your account for it, or close the account altogether. You can change or clear a spend limit yourself, on the page you set it on. A self-exclusion has no undo on the site: lifting one means contacting us.
